Wow! ...I went to a very cool wedding last weekend. It was
my good friend Peter from New Haven. Although we have traded
emails and phone calls over the years, we hadn't seen each other since
1968! Very strange.
The picture on the left is from 1st
grade in 1964-65. The one on the right is from last
weekend. Time, obviously, does horrible things to the human body
;)
It was also strange to see where we had both gone over the
years. It was like one of those stories about two brothers who
get separated at birth, ...one goes off to do work for the betterment
of mankind, ...the other, to only use his powers for evil.
Peter is a Very Reverend Priest in the Episcopalian Church.
The wedding was almost completely attended by bishops and arch bishops
and priests and fathers and deans and... ...from all over the world.
Everyone had huge hats and robes and sashes. The cathedral was
magnificent and the organ was breath-taking. The atmosphere
would make even an atheist like me sit in pause and awe.
Then came the reception. I
must say that the Episcopalians are a fun group of people.
