Couple of things to note...
...first, a special thanks the Commander Jared "Yes, that's my real
name" Hefty and his crew for pulling together the überest of dev
kits.
As reported on Ritualistic, the GDK
contains UberRadiant, 3D Studio MAX plug-ins and exporters, two single player
and one CTF map files, one example model and skin, extensive documentation, and
several other useful tools.
You can find all the mirrors on Ritualistic
(the überest of websites, of course;).

|
|
...also, Judge Reid "Yes, they're all really level designers and
texture artists!" Kimball is heading up two very cool
contests related to Elite Forces II.
One contest is for level designers, and the other is for texture
artists.
You couldn't ask for better mod tools (the GDK) nor a better
opportunity to show off your modding madness.
Head over to Ritualistic,
once again, for the details and links.
The basics are on the Ritualistic
forums.

Once again, thanks to everyone for coming to the party. Especially Lauren!
Thanks to you, too, Eddy, ...Pom Pom's is a very nice place. For those
that didn't make it last night, or can't remember, ...it is like a combination
of Hooter's and a classy strip club.
I don't have many pictures, ...well, I do, but most are dark and blurry.

Okay, this is weird! Ever since I went out and partied with
Vince Desi a few weeks ago, ...this car keeps circling our office
and sometimes I see it in my rearview mirror between the office and
home.
<Click

Notice the decal? ...and the blackened windows? No
shit, just took this picture yesterday while catching a smoke out
front.

Okay, I was sitting at home last night, sometime before midnight, enjoying my
cigar from that special island off the coast of Florida and sipping some vodka
most likely from Detroit,
when the phone rings...
...it's the lovely-yet-dangerous Dianne from Angel
Events. She and her crew are at Pom Pom's checking the place
out. This was her report...
..."this place is awesome, you gotta come down! They just
finished the first round of wrestling. The girls were going at it like two
wet cats in a bag. Fists flying, windmill assaults, ...boob poundings!
|
|
|
|
Then, the second round started. They started fist-fighting
but soon were entangled in a grappling match on the mat.
The announcement guy said "Okay girls, forget it! You
obviously don't know how to fight, ...make love
instead!". They took off everything and started kissing
and massaging and... ...you gotta come down!".
We have to admire the dedication of Dianne and her Angels!

Happy
Birthday
Ritual!
I can not believe it's been seven years!
Today is Ritual's 7th Birthday. I have a special cigar I've
been saving, amongst other things, and tonight I see myself sitting
quietly on my back patio soaking up the incredibly cool weather
we've been having for a few days and reminiscing. What a great
day!
It's funny how time is measured. These seven years truly
seem like seventy years in many ways, and they also seem like only
seventy days in other ways. It's been good, it's been bad,
...it has always been intense ;)

Okay, no excuses this time! We're doing this one during the
event. No "I don't fly in until whatever." or "I
hate semi-naked women." lame outs.
Me and my clown pal are having another L5 Party this Thursday night.
It's called a "bikini sports
bar", ...we know it as the cool place with mud wrestling, oil
wrestling, and alot of 6-second flashes.

So, getting alot of emails asking how the party was?
...I think this picture of Vince Desi and the Levelord explains
the situation well, ...we had a great time!
Thanks to everyone for coming, and of course, staying.
Special thanks to Dianne Vaughn of Angel Events. Her crew
has organized the last few L5 Parties and they have always done a
great job!

I went to the party with like $180. I remember I bought one
Corona, one. Although I left the party with $3, I never bought
myself another drink. I had at least six shots of tequila, and
many more Coronas. It was one of those parties, ...everyone
buying drinks for everyone else.
Related, is it just me that can smell tequila exuding from my
skin the next day? I mean, 24 hours later, a nice long shower
and all that, but you can still smell that agave smell the next
day. Whiskey (scotch and rye, too) have the same effect.
One word, ...vodka!
