The Student Game Developer Association of the University of Texas at Dallas, ...eee-ha! ...is having their
yearly CGC on October 18, 19, and 20th. As you know the
university offers a degree in computer game development and this is a
great opportunity to mingle with both developers, faculty, AND the
Levelord! Last
year's was terrific, ...great discussions and a very cool party on
Saturday night! All details can be found here...

| Benjamin Franklin has always been one of my champions.
I still remember deciding that in Mrs. Esposito's 3rd-grade class in 1966. I
am constantly reminded of his proverbial lessons, many of which coincidently enough, can be
found in Poor Richard's Almanac ;)
Here's one... "Three can keep a secret if two are dead."
It never ceases to amaze me how often people bite themselves with their own mouths,
...including me, of course.
It always starts with the "Don't tell anyone, but..."
|
 |
|
| ...which is presumed by the asker to be absolute. However, in reality, the
replier is merely confirming that s/he won't tell anyone except
a few special people that make the same promise. It is
amazing how quickly "secrets" are spread under the guise of this
daisy-chained presumption.
Be careful what you say! ...in fact, never say anything unless you realize that it will
get around to everyone, ...everyone including the ones to whom you didn't want it to get
around! |
