| I've been trying to do an E3 2002 update, but there is so
much cool shit to write about, I haven't had time to finish. Expect one soon, with
many thanks to all the people that treated us so well. After receiving numerous emails
(okay, at least three) telling me that ASSault's game play sucks bigger rock formations
than any map ever created, I decided to release the source MAP file for these whining
email wankers to prove me the fool. Have fun ;)

Clipped from the pulsing pages of Shugashack... "Hmmm... Ritual seems to be

Comments like that just make it all seem worth
while! Thanks, Cowboy! |

We know you're watching! So, ...Happy
Mother's Day Momma! Only scantly related, ...just had to mention how cool
the Spiderman movie is! I almost always wait for the DVD to come out
before seeing a movie. I don't like the hassle of 'going' to the movie and
the time constraints and lines and, ...well, I always find it worthwhile to wait until I
can watch a movie in the ease of my underwear, the wonderful Pause button, mind-altering
substances, FREE popcorn! Anyway, ...I couldn't wait for this one after hearing all
the hype.
Well worth it! Strangely, ...as a kid (and hence the link to Mother's Day;), I
never liked Superman. He was too goody-goody, even for a kid. Same with the
Superman movies. Batman? A little better, but again, even as a kid I had
reservations about his relationship with a "boy wonder". Spiderman, cool
back then, still cool today!
Go see the movie! |

Okay, first, a question: What do the Levelord,
the Good and Humble, and this bottle of Pepsi have in common? We'll give you the
answer after you read and heed the following. Ritual
Entertainment is currently looking for some hotshot young bloods for our Art
Department.
We are looking for a few animators and modelers. Although a juicy portfolio of
industry experience is always a plus, we prefer pure talent and killer attitude!
In return, you will have the honor of saying "Ya, I worked with those
guys! It was a hell, but one that I'd glady do again!" for all the years to
come.
Think you're the right person for the job? Send your portfolio or
demo reel to
Ritual Entertainment
Attn: Robert Atkins
2019 N. Lamar St.
Suite 220
Dallas, TX 75202
Alternatively, if you have a website containing all sorts of worthy art samples, feel
free to shoot an email to roba@ritual.com.
Okay, the answer to today's question: The Levelord and this bottle of Pepsi
were both made in New Haven, Connecticut AND in the same year - 1957!
You'll notice both have lost a lot of their fluids, both have most of their important
ingredients settled to the bottom, and both are more disgusting than the senses can really
imagine. Amazing! |

Holy shit! They're going to do it again! I was
so bummed about going to E3 this year because there would be no Promised Lot. We
have been saved again!
There should be more details over at www.substance.tv
or you can click on the image yonder thar. |

Saturday? Tuesday? Weekend? Who
knows! The days all seem the same and there never is an end to the week when you
make games for a living! It's a living hell! ... ;) Quick question while
we're all here. Why does hospital always have a definitive article
"the" when it's spoken of, but school does not?
"I'm at school today, and I was at the hospital yesterday."
You really notice this, as an American, when those silly Brits say things like "He
wasn't well so he went to hospital." |

It was one year ago that we lost one of the coolest people
ever! We still miss you, Doug!
God Games still has a very nice
page dedicated to Doug Myers, who died this day last year. I found it a melancholic
comfort to read it all again. As we all grind and crunch once again, it is
especially cool to read his last email about preparing for E3.
...and yes, I too found it strange to see the number 17. |

I guess we saw this coming, but simply chose not to
recognize it in time. Duke Nukem has left Barbie! Seems he's
found another doll, Playboy's Victoria Silvstedt. The numbers themselves are
deceiving: Barbie's 36-18-33 inches (91-46-84cm) would seem to outshadow Victoria's
35-24-36 inches (90-63-93cm) no matter how super your hero was. However, Victoria's
35 includes anatomically correct nipples! ...actually, all of her is correct, ...TKO
for Barbie!
Then there's the whole Ken thing. Who doesn't get tired hearing about "the
last guy". Imagine then that he was a neutered, fashion-fairy like Ken! |

Well, another one leaves! Seems like my Dad's side of
the family is not real happy about seeing, or staying long in, the 21st Century.
Just heard last light that my Aunt Angela was found stone-cold on her floor by the police
yesterday. I can't get in touch with anyone, so that's all I know. Angela and I
were very close when we were kids. She was only a few years older than me, and she
and my Grandmother lived with us at the time. |
