What a rush! Actually, Rush didn't show up this time,
which is a shame because we boo'ed them off the stage last time we saw KISS ;) The concert
KISS was very cool last night, ...and very strange for an old fart. It was like a Twilight
Zone and I fealt like it was 1974 once again. This was (although I personally doubt it)
the "Farewell" Tour and they played nothing but their old songs from the first
four albums. The pyrotechniques were also the exact same as their early 1970's show before
they had the bigbucks (the Starplex is a very small arena and couldn't accomodate a large
fire show). Awesome, awesome, ...and many thanks go to Sverre and the Third Law crew for
the tickets, as well as to blessed G.O.D., of course ;) My brain hurts and I'm going back
to bad now.

What now? ...some sort of sickness? Rob the
Backslider and I went to the Art's Festival in Deep Ellum yesterday. We went to check out
all the incredibly rendered models, ...you know, for research. Dallas 3D has an
unbelievable ratio of models, BTW. Talk about skins, gentlmen, ...and talk about
high-density polygons! Bouncy bouncy! Anyways, there was also this wonderfully blue
texture in the sky box and it had an intense light source (with lens flare and
everything). It was so real! Today, though, I find my face is all red and sore. I think
the grand game designer has deminished my health for some unknown reason, and now I have
to find a power-up? Is anyone else disappointed at
the season's finale of the Sopranos? I was bummed about Richie last week because he was so
cool. I mean, my only real complaint about the show is it's lack of murder, torture, and
primordial mob behavior, ...I was hoping Richie was going to change that. The finale
though, ...what was up with all that dream stuff? The talking fish was cool, and Tony's 'freind' was funny, but I was indeed disappointed.

I knew 2000 was going to be a good year! Just caught news from Alan Willard over at Epic
about THIS... http://www.trippingtherift.com/
...awesome, awesome, awesome! As long as we have y'all
here, Ritualistic posted a shot of my homemade CPL T-shirt. It's sort of worth a look, I
mean, if you're between strokes or compiling or something...

...and finally, I am really starting to regret
leaving Garland. I played pool with George the Broussard last night and Duke sounds
fricken incredible! It all brought back alot of fond memories. That sure was a fun game to
make and Mr. Nukem has a long way to go before he gets too old. I don't know how they're
doing it all without me, but I wish I was still there ;)
